    To the Lane Family,
" Daddy Ray" as he was known to the Babe Ruth Giants during the mid-late 70's was by far one of the most beloved men I have ever had the chance to know. Many of the traits that have allowed me success in life, I attribute to Ray Lane. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

My prayers and concern for all of you at this sad time of loss. May God surround you with his loving arms and give you peace. With love and sympathy, Janice Wiggam McAllister

Dear Janie, Jackie, Gloria, and Families,
I was so sad to hear that Uncle Ray had passed away. I will miss him very much. He and I had a lot of long talks when Mom (Auline) was sick and then passed away as well as when Mamma (Effie) was still alive. I remember when we were all little kids and loving to go to y'alls house and have one of your Mom's hamburgers on the weekend. Sometimes when Roxie and I were small Daddy would take us up to Swan's store on Saturday night and they would visit with Uncle Ray, Aunt Virginia, Cotton and Babe. Those were the good old days. I also have fond memories of him playing softball with Daddy and all the other men at that time. Uncle Ray was very special to me, he and my brother Richard certainly looked enough alike to be brothers rather than uncle and nephew. Uncle Ray loved all of his family and now he is with many of them. I know they must have been so glad to see him. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Love,
    Sharon

Dear Janie, Jackie, Gloria and Families,

I will always remember Ray Lane, especially for the attention and guidance he gave my son, Greg, growing up and for the good times we had.

My heart goes out to you all at this sad time but I know for sure he loved you all deeply.

    Sincerely,

    Reba Cargile

I am the daughter of Buddy and Charlotte Lane, and my dad was first cousins of Ray Lane. My mom wanted to let you know that she was thinking of you at this time, and we extend our condolences. My dad died almost 4 yrs. ago, but I remember coming by your house as a child, and your dad came to see my dad before he died, in July of 2008.

Gloria and all family members, my heart was sad to learn of Ray's passing on. I knew Ray through his working so many yrs. at AVA with Rodney Ferrell to whom I used to be married to. Rodney loved Ray and Virginia or Sis as he called her. Rodney went hunting with Ray also. I want all of the family to know that you are in my daily prayers. Linda Naron

    To the Lane Family,
Along with our Mother, Cynthia Brannon, Roger and I would like to extend our sympathy to you and your family. I will always remember your father because he always had time to acknowledge me when Jackie and I were little, and we played together at your house. Your Mom and Dad were wonderful neighbors for many, many years and all of us are fortunate to have had them in our lives. God bless you and yours. Phyllis Brannon Flory, Roger and Brenda Brannon and Cynthia Brannon.
