Diann grew up in Dumas and was a graduate of Dumas High School. She maintained friendships with her classmates and enjoyed visiting with them at class reunions. On April 9, 1966, Diann married Clay Haynes whom she had known since the age of 10. Their love and devotion to each other for 46 years was a source of strength during her life and, especially, during her illness.
Diann was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clay of Houston, TX; her son, Scott Haynes of Houston, TX; her daughter Jennifer Kent of the The Woodlands, TX; and her precious grandchildren, Cassie and Parker Bruce of Willis, TX. Also, surviving are her siblings, Sherry Byars of Montgomery, TX, Judy K. New of Fayetteville, AR, Mark Nunn of Denver, CO, a life long friend, Joan Kirkpatrick of Little Rock, AR, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Though Diann had lived in Houston for many years, her love for her hometown and the memories of her childhood were always important. Her greatest treasures were her loving husband and family.
