She was the widow of Billy F. Hampton and a Baptist. She loved her gardening, canning, quilting and was a very good cook. She was also a gifted musician where she taught herself how to play the piano by ear and learned the accordion without a lesson. She worked hard at everything she did, whether it was putting up a garden, canning, cleaning house, working at a job, quilting or taking care of kids. She always wanted to earn her own way and didn't want a hand out from anyone.
Survivors include one son, Paul Christopher Hatley of Midlothian, TX; two daughters, Barbara Ann Tidwell of DeSoto, TX and Linda Diane Sibley of Midlothian, TX; several brothers; one sister, Juanita; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Midlothian, TX Sunday, November 18, 2012 I'm still missing you like crazy. The holidays are approaching now and it won't be the same without you. I thank God for everything you taught me, but most of all, introducing me to Jesus. He is the one who sustains me as I grieve this physical separation. He is also the one that fills me with hope and joy as I focus on the assurance that you are in His presence right now. I know you are alive in a better way and experiencing joy unspeakable that will never go away. I love you, my sweet & precious Mother.charles and shirley milholland

Sherwood, AR Saturday, September 1, 2012 Dearest Barbara, Linda, and Christopher; Please accept my deepethy sympathy. I, too, know the grief and great personal loss of losing a mother. Your'swas a special lady who made everyone around her feel welcome. She rolled out the red carpet for us every time we visited you in Dallas. I remember, as kids, when Jimmy Phillips, my Sister, Judy, and I all visited one Summer. She and Aunt Kathy treated us like Royalty.
