Braxton was retired from Burlington Industries and was the owner of Holdcraft Bait Shop. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the Assembly of God Church and loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include; two daughters, Mary Louise Murray and husband, Ricky of Monticello and Jeannie Harrison and husband, Mac of Wilmar; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
