Braxton Holdcraft, age 85, of Monticello passed away October 1, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Memorial Center in Pine Bluff. He was born October 13, 1926 to the late George Washington Holdcraft and Lular Pearl Barnett Holdcraft. . He was also preceded in death by his wife, Irma Ruth Holdcraft; a son, James Edgar Holdcraft and a grandson, James Brandon Holdcraft.

Braxton was retired from Burlington Industries and was the owner of Holdcraft Bait Shop. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the Assembly of God Church and loved hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include; two daughters, Mary Louise Murray and husband, Ricky of Monticello and Jeannie Harrison and husband, Mac of Wilmar; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
