Charles Edward Quimby, 81, of Monticello, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born June 3, 1931 in Hermitage, AR.

He was a retired electrician, U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He loved playing music, was a talented woodworker and loved his church. He was a loving husband and father.He was the son of the late Buck Quimby and Ersel Smith Quimbly and was preceded in death by three brothers, Watson, Paul and T. J. Quimby and three sisters, Kathaline Dunn, Marcel Quimbly and Gladys Howard.

Survivors include his wife, Laverne Lytle Quimbly of Monticello and one step son, Kerry Gene Hackney of Monticello.
