I met Ms. Alice when I worked the switchboard at UAM from 1979-1983. She was a very sweet lady and she loved her family very much. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to you. We were at homecoming this past Sunday at Northside when we learned of Miss Alice's death. I remember the good times we shared living across the street from one another and at church and seeing her at school all the time. She was a very sweet lady. Also, to Miss Barta, sorry we did not get to see you Sunday, but we understand. You and rest of family, take care.

Aunt Alice will truly be missed. She was such a loving person and is leaving behind a wonderful family. Whenever we would "happen upon" each other, we would sit down and catch up. I always knew that Aunt Alice was a wise woman with a deep heart, and a knowing smile. You just knew that she loved you whether you had seen her yesterday or if it had been years. My love and prayers are with all of you.
