He worked in the logging industry for many years, also delivered the Arkansas Democrat-Gazzette newspaper, until his health begin to fail. He had many hobbies, some including fishing and gardening. He touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and he maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. He was the son of the late Rastus Lee Daniels and Lela Rush, and was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Thompson Daniels; two sons, Lawrence Daniels and James Daniels; two daughters, Ola Mea McKinnely and Brenda Daniels-Glover and a great-granddaughter, Maleigh King.
Survivors include one son, Danny Daniels of Monticello; five daughters, Linda Daniels, Diane Daniels and Florence Daniels-Clary, all of Monticello, Kazelle Daniels-Trotter and Betty Loraine Daniels both of Lake Jackson, TX; twenty grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
