  1. Roxanne Shook
Mrs. Carson, Dick, and the Carson family,
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Jack Carson passing. I remember hours of playing with the neighborhood kids by your "cattle gap" at the end of Borchardt St. I remember Dick's German Shepard, I think her name was Lady. My brother Richard spoke so highly of Jack. Wonderful memories of shopping with my parent's in Carson's grocery store and standing in front of the meat counter waiting for our order. I can still recall the smell of the store; what a great childhood memory. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Lanier, Jack and family, Please know how sorry I am about Jack. The entire Carson family has been such a role model for many people. My memories of shopping at Carsons, and at the shop next door, with "Athalee" was precious to me and to my sons (the majority of their clothes were purchased there). I wish you peace and comfort which I know you will receive through God. With love, Laura Lee

Jack and the other "boys" are such a wonderful memory from my growing up years. I remember many times standing in front of the meat counter giving Jack my mama's "order". He and his family were and are what makes Monticello a wonderful place to live.
