Annette Vincent Smith, 55 of Monticello passed away October 10, 2013 at her home. She was born on May 12, 1958 to the late Wilford Vincent and Clothee Crowell Vincent in Drew County, Arkansas. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Wilford Vincent, Jr.

She was given the name Annette which means "favor, grace." She was the 9th born of 10 children. She was a bubbly, high spirited, loving and God fearing person.

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and later rededicated her life as an adult at Mt. Pleasant AME Church where she remained a faithful member until her health failed her. She was employed at Walmart as a photo lab technician until her health failed her as well.

She started her early childhood education at Drew High School where she finished out the sixth grade, which was the last elementary class to attend Drew High. She graduated from Monticello High in May 1976.

She united in holy matrimony to Mr. Don Edward Smith in November 1980 and to this man two sons were born.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 32 years, Don Smith; two sons, Patrick Donnell and Aaron Devon Smith both of Monticello; four brothers, Rev. Alphonzo Vincent (Nancy) of Jonesboro, Jesse Vincent (Priscilla) of Warren, Jerry Vincent (Linda) of Monticello, and Glynn Vincent of Monticello; four sisters, Pauline Burel of Little Rock, Sherry Squalls of Mesquite, TX, Cloverne Hudson (Bill) of Macon, GA and Sandra Spencer (Roger) of Wilmar, AR; her mother-in-law, Martha Smith; one sister-in-law, Brenda Phillips; one brother-in-law, Willie Smith, Jr. (Barbara); four uncles, Charlie Vincent (Mildred), Samuel Crowell (Helen), Billy Crowell and Kent Fisher (Jan); one aunt, Cloreatha (Leon) and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, special relatives and close friends.
