Granny Crook was a magnificent and wonderful Lady. You couldn't help but to love her. She would always ask me to come do her hair and I would always oblige. I got to hear many great stories of how she came to be who she was. Those stories and many others I will always hold close to my heart. Granny Crook told me many times that she loved me like I was one of her kids, and I in turn loved her. She could always make me smile no matter how down or mad I was. I always felt better after I got a Grandma Crook hug, they were the best. I'll never forget my Granny Crook. She's in a far off better place now and there's no more pain. I'll love you always....

My sweet beautiful, aunt Edna will be missed so much. She was the one that named me. I will always remember how much she loved me. She did more for me than anyone. I stayed with her at Strong for a while every summer. We had so much fun. She would let me play with her jewelry and her shoes. I was there when she learned to drive. It did take her a while but it was a hoot. She would have uncle Travis always turn the car around because it took longer for her to be able to learn to back up. It seemed like several summers that we would go shopping and she would have to find a place to park where she could just get in the car and go forward. We used to play tricks on uncle Travis all the time. The baseball field was in her back yard almost and we would sit out there in lawn chairs and just yell and laugh and make trips to the concession stands. I was visiting her when she and uncle Travis moved their church membership to Strong. She had such a beautiful sweet voice and I loved to hear her sing in church. She always said Billy Graham was her hero. I can remember how much we laughed when she was trying to teach me to dance. She hated frogs and loved cat's. Uncle Travis would fuss when she bought another one home. It was his job to feed the ones outside and she always had a "special baby" inside most of the time. When they moved back to Monticello, she cried over her cats and only moved one that was 18 years old. I will miss her so much. Someday, we will be together and I will never have to loose her again.
