Plain Dealing, LA, LA Thursday, November 21, 2013 Stephen and Clay. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your mother and our friend. Our relationship with Nan goes back to Jr. Hi. at Woodruff in W. Helena. I became aware of her gift for singing at a Christmas program at school. She sang "There's a Song in the Air" in that program. I cannot, to this day, hear that piece w/o thinking of her and hearing her voice as she sang it from the heart. Our mom's set us up for our first boy/girl date. We went to the movie with our moms sitting behind us. Church, MYF, summer camps, and high school are all a part of my memories. After graduation, I remember driving her to L.R. to the train station so she could go be with Doug. Her "encouragement" helped keep me on track in my path to ministry in the UM Church. Susie's and I picked her up and drove her to Helena for our 50th H.S. reunion. "A memorable trip." She may be gone but she is not forgotten. Prayers and blessings. John & Susie Braden.Patsy Snyder

Helena, AR Wednesday, November 20, 2013 Nan was a very special friend of ours for many years. We grew up together in the West Helena United Methodist Church where we sometimes sat on the back row writing notes to our each other (Janet, Laura) on the back of the offering envelopes and giggling. MYF years were memorable - deep friendships were formed and remain to this day! She sang many solos in that church and was married there. Nan, you were so special to us. We have great memories of our time with you.Beverly Davis
