Emma Griffin West, 83 of Wilmar passed away, Wednesday, January 22 at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. She was born on May 24, 1930 to the late Jesse Griffin and Annie Pearl Burkhart Griffin.

She was retired from Burlington and was a member of Wilmar United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband L.C. "Buddy" West; four brothers, J.C. Griffin, Sonny Griffin, Bill Griffin, and Nathan Griffin and one sister, Lucille Davis.

Survivors include three sons, Mike West of Wilmar, Ricky West and wife, Annette of Warren and Mark West and wife, Deborah of Wilmar; three sisters, Francis Wade of Vermont, Betty Jo Reddin and Mary Lynn Temple both of Wilmar; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Boren, Maranda McEntire, Kacie Wallace, Kristi Scott, Timmy West, Tabatha Quillen and Matt West; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
