Her love and devotion to God and her church were unconditional. All through her journey in life she experienced a multitude of extreme difficulties loss of her husband in World War II loss of her only child - and many serious health problems. To the Family. Ms Artie was a big part of our family. I will greatly miss seeing her and being part of group of women who celebrated each others lives every month. She is loved by many and everyone who knows her, knew they could ask for prayer and know she was on their prayer list.

Her faith was inspiring, and it's comforting to know she was ready to "go Home." She's in His good hands now, with no more pain or discomfort.

To Artie's grandsons: I worked with your grandmother at Pomeroy and McGowin for several during which time 2 of you were born. She was the proudest grandmother anyone will ever see. She loved you boys with her very being. Though I haven't seen her in several years, I've thought of her often and remembered the laughs we shared. Know that the family will be in my thoughts and prayers in the difficult times ahead.

What a sweet, wonderful lady "Miss Artie" was. She was my Sunday school teacher when I was a young girl, and I will always remember her kind, gentle spirit. May God comfort the family during this difficult time.

I had the honor of knowing Ms, Artie for several years. She and my mother (Laverne Burnette) were very close friends. She will be missed by many of us, but most of all by her dear friends and family. Ms. Artie had been in bad health for a number of years, but she had continued to witness for the Lord. I pray the Lord will provide comfort to her family during this difficult time.

Aunt Artie was such an influence to me and my family. Though her life was filled with more heart ache than a person is supposed to endure, she kept her faith on our heavenly father strong and that impressed me the most. I will miss you greatly. Marty, Billy ,Randy and Dennis my prayers are with our family in this sorrowful time. She loved you boys more than anything and she told me that often.
