She was the widow of Morris Hill, a retired Registered Nurse and attended the Church of Christ. Joan enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, crocheting, cooking, knitting and fishing. She also loved the outdoors and most of all, spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Tate; one grandson, Joseph Adcock; and an infant son, Billy.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwen Craig and husband Timmy of Hamburg and Lisa Baldwin and husband Donnie of Monticello; one brother, Gary Tate of Monticello; a sister in law, Anne Tate of Denton, TX; six grandchildren, Scott Chatman, Rodger Welborn, Jamie Cruce, Casey Craig, Bubba Cruce and wife April, Brittany Kulbeth Adcock and husband Ronnie; eight great-grandchildren, Alisa, Madison, Jase, Parker, Braxton, Blaine, McKinzie and Ashley; her nieces and nephews, Amanda Tate and husband David, Kelley Dancer and husband Dean and Jonathan Tate; Granny's special baby, her poodle RED; two very special friends, Betty Knobloch and Virginia Hillman; and her road trip sister, Ollie Baker.
