Michael Lee Forrest, 61, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the V A Hospital in Little Rock. He was born March 3, 1948 in Norristown, PA.

He was a retired truck driver and private security, a U S Army Veteran of Vietnam and Seventh-Day Adventist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl L. Forrest; one sister, Patty Lynn Forrest; one son, Michael Shannon Forrest; his grandparents, Otto and Effie Braden Mueller and Sam and Myrtle Braden Forrest and one aunt, Naomi Mueller Cox.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, JoAnn Burns Forrest of Monticello; one son, Michael Shawn Forrest and wife, Christy of Beebe, AR; his mother, Patricia Forrest of Monticello; two step sons, Billy Coplan and wife, Lois of Shreveport, LA and Howell Coplan and wife, Dawn of Little Rock; cousin, Burt Terry Cox; grandchildren, Jessica, David, Ben, Cecil, Brandon, Nick and Matt; great grandchildren, Kenneth, Zaylle and Jessica; dear loyal friends, Philip and Kay and many relatives and friends.
