Ernestine Allison Chesser, 87 of Conroe, TX, formerly of Monticello, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at her daughter's home in Conroe. She was born December 14, 1922 in Florence, AR.
She was the widow of Gus Chesser, retired from Commercial Bank and was a member of First Baptist Church in Monticello. She was the daughter of the late E. D. Allison and Esther Whitaker Allison.
Survivors include one son, Ron Chesser and wife, Judy of Hot Springs; one daughter, Phyllis Shockley and husband, Mike of Conroe, TX; one brother, Adrian Allison of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Madeline Gibson of Selma; six grandchildren, Kim Lindgren, Chip Chesser, Randy Wyatt, Tanda Stoelzing, Heather Howard and Jonathan Shockley; and ten great-grandchildren, Ally, Jeff and Will Lindgren, Emma Kate Stoelzing, Luke and Charlie Stoelzing, Brooke and Sophie Wyatt and Morgan and Alex Howard. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Crystal Harrington, Rhea Lagrone, Betty Lou Hughes, Nancy Summerford and the staff of the Guest House Assisted Living for their care of Mrs. Chesser.
