Carlyne Owen Dickey, age 88 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was born July 12, 1930 in Liberty, TN to the late Willie Robert Owen and Ethel Ballinger Owen.
She was the widow of Joe Bob Dickey, a homemaker and member of the Enon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for years and was chairman of the Church Hostess Committee. Mrs. Carlyne's hobbies included doing ceramics, entertaining in her home, toll painting and doing yard work. She was also a member of the Enon Election Board.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Harvel Edwin Owen; sisters-in-law, Georgia Rhea Biford Owen, Doris Marie Stokes Dickey and Patty Ann Dickey Trinca; and brothers-in-law, O.J. Hawker and Fee Dickey, Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Leigh Dickey Dunn and husband Kevin of Monticello; two grandsons, Daniel Joseph Dunn and wife Angela Lynn of Horatio and Thomas Allen Dunn and wife Morgan Nicole of Monticello; two great granddaughters, Sydney Breann Dunn and Kayeleigh Jo Dunn of Horatio; one brother, Donald Owen and wife Audrey of Lebanon, TN; and one sister, Georgia Owen Hawker of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Rash Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church, Rash Cemetery or the American Cancer Society.
