Opal Marie Wright
September 1, 1930 - March 4, 2019

Opal Marie Anders Wright went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Drew Memorial Hospital. Opal was born on September 1, 1930 in Bradley County, AR to Travis and Eunice Files Anders. She married L. F. (Junior) Wright June 19, 1948. Together they raised their three sons: Gerald, Robert (Bubba) and Cecil. Opal doted on her sons and later on her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. They all reciprocated that admiration to her.

Opal was a dedicated employee of Commercial Bank where she worked for 38 years as a Public Relations representative. She was well-known with the banking community as well as the community as a whole. While at Commercial Bank, Opal had an opportunity to pursue one of her loves: travel. She traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada to name a few. Opal was a strong presence in her family. She was admired by her family as a woman of strength, class, and unconditional love. She was a very social person and everywhere she went, she loved visiting with people. She never went many places where someone did not know her.

Opal had a strong faith in her Lord, and for many years she attended First Baptist Church, but she had recently begun attending Rose Hill Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Cecil Wright, and two brothers James "Bud" Anders and Bill Anders.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Sandra) Wright and Robert "Bubba" Wright of Monticello; five grandchildren, Shawn (Jana) Wright, Alan (Kayce) Wright, Shana (Stacy) Wilson, Eric Wright, and Adam (Stephanie) Wright; eleven great-grandchildren, Anna, Ally, Dakota, Brett, Bryson, Corey, Jed and Gavin Wright, Seth and Elizabeth Wilson, and Taylor (Heath) Swain; one great-great grandchild, Beaux Swain; and very special friends of the family, Cara Harris and Caralyne Donaldson.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
