Jonathan Q. Goodman, age 52 of Warner Robbins, GA, formerly of Monticello, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his home. He was born April 7, 1966 in Monticello, AR to the late J. C. Goodman and Martha Dunlap Goodman. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Mount Pleasant AME Church where he remained until after he graduated from Monticello High School in 1985. He was employed by Midwestern Insurance until his untimely death. After high school, Jonathan entered the United States Army in 1987 where he served for 23 years. During his military service, Jonathan continued to serve God by serving his country and participating in activities at his military post. Jonathan was known and loved by many. He mentored a number of young people in his 23 years of service to his country. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Christopher Everett Goodman and Jonathan Isaiah Goodman; four siblings, Leslie Goodman, Pastor Christopher (Brenda) Goodman, Regina Goodman, Reggie Goodman; two nephews, Mario Green and J’son Goodman; four nieces, Samantha Isom, Tameka (Johnny) Johnson, Meiyah Shepherd, and Ja’Niyah Goodman; one uncle, Leron Goodman; four aunts, Thelma Brown, Dorthea Madison, Mickey Moore and Bessie Jefferson; and five grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Pilgrim Rest AME Church with burial to follow in Campground Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
