Welcome

I am a Veteran.Kenneth Robert Dunn
March 3, 1937 - October 14, 2019

Kenneth Robert Dunn, 82, of Monticello, died peacefully Monday, October 14, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Little Rock surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 3, 1937 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Jay Harold and Edna May Barnett Dunn. He married Regina Ann Hadley on December 27, 1963. They resided in Searcy, AR and Memphis, TN before settling in Monticello, AR in 1977.

Ken served honorably in the US Navy for 3 years. He was a graduate of Harding University and obtained his MBA from Memphis State. After becoming a CPA, he owned his own business and ultimately spent over 18 years with Potlatch, Corp in Warren. He loved Harding and served as Alumni President and on the President’s Council for many years. He also loved his church family at the Monticello Church of Christ where he was a member for 42 years and served as an Elder for over 6 years.

Ken was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He would attend and support as many activities and sporting events of his daughters and grandchildren as possible, often traveling many miles and cheering louder than anyone else.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Beverly Smith, and one brother, Charles Dunn. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Regina of Monticello, his daughters Bonnie Hinrichs and husband Steve of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kerry Phillis and husband Peter of Mansfield, TX and four grandchildren who were the lights of his world: Alex Hinrichs, Luke Phillis, Ashley Hinrichs and Chloe Phillis.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care Arkansas Baptist Medical Center and Hospice services provided to Ken during his stay and to Bradley County Home Health for the support provided over the last year.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 pm and funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel in Monticello. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Monticello Church of Christ (P.O. Box 485, Monticello, AR 71655) for the Building Fund or the charity of one’s choice.
