Robert J. White, Sr., age 86 of Hot Springs, formerly of Warren, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2019 at Quapaw Care and Rehab in Hot Springs. He was born June 9, 1933 in Monticello, AR, the son of the late Clyde and Effie Cox White.
He is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Betty Thornton White; three brothers, Roger White, Larry White and Ted White. Survivors include two sons, Robert J. White, Jr. (Phyllis) of Sun City West, AZ and Ron White (Glenda) of Hot Springs; two daughters, Regina Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO and Bettina Crumpton (David) of Mt. Pine, AR; six grandchildren, Brandon White and Megan Kuhn (David) of Leesville, LA, Josh Anderson (Megan) of Gressier, Haiti, James White (Victoria), Chris Reddin (Desha) and Mychal Crumpton (Kim) of Hot Springs, AR; fifteen great-grandchildren; along with two brothers and two sisters.
Bob was an active member and deacon of Hot Springs Baptist Church. His service to the Lord included "Nailbenders for Jesus" and "All Because of Christ Ministries," distributing tracts into Mexico. He was a retired business owner and founder of White's Heat & Air and White's Mobile Home Supply in 1970. He was a past Chairman and Hall of Fame member of the Arkansas Manufactured Housing Association. Bob proudly served his country during the Korean War and was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Hot Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hot Springs. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service at the church.
