Molly Williams Slingerland, age 83 of Star City, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born February 18, 1937, to the late Benjamin and Hattie Roberson Williams. She was a Rural Mail Carrier for 31 years in the Star City area. She was also the co-owner/operator for Slingerland Furniture Company for over 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Johnny Slingerland; daughter, Virginia Barton; granddaughter, Melissa Anderson; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Tommy Slingerland and wife Vicki of Star City; Mary Irons and husband Phillip of Star City; Terry Slingerland and wife Diane of Star City; Annette Johnson and husband Roger of Hot Springs; Brenda Slingerland of Star City; Diana Goins and husband Kelly of Pine Bluff; fourteen grandkids; twenty-eight great-grandkids; and five great-great-grandkids.

A come and go viewing following Covid-19 guidelines will be Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Graveside services will be Friday, October 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in Holly Springs Cemetery in Star City with Reverend B.J. DuVall officiating.
