Louise Barnett Russell, age 96 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was born September 27, 1924, in Monticello, Arkansas, to the late Ralph E. Barnett and Jessie Nowlen Barnett.
She was retired from Arkla Gas, now known as Centerpoint Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, watching Razorback football. She was also a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, James A. Russell; and a sister, Nadean Crawford.
Survivors include her two daughters, Judy Russell Jenkins of Monticello, Jane Russell Harrison and husband Ben of Monticello; one brother, Donald R. Barnett and wife Linda of Monticello; two sisters, Kay Ozment and husband David of Monticello and Reba Howell of Bryant; three grandchildren, Jeff Hudgens and wife Milca, Jennifer West Boren and husband Tommy, and Maranda West McEntire and husband Kevin; eight great grandchildren, Ty, West and Mari Russell Boren, Kamryn, Kel and Bree McEntire, Jeffery Hudgens and expectant great grandchild Grace Hudgens; along with a host of nieces and nephews that she also loved greatly.
Funeral services following Covid-19 guidelines will be Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Wells and Rev. Tim McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral at the Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
