ExRay Harper, age 96 of Warren, formerly of the Rock Springs Community in Drew County, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at home. He was born May 4, 1924, in Rock Springs, AR to the late Carl Maxwell and Ada Bell Weatherford Harper.
He was a retired building contractor and was a long-time member of the Drew Central School Board. He is a former recipient of the Drew Central Distinguished Service Award as well as a member of the Drew Central Alumni Hall of Fame. He was an excellent provider for his family who he loved with his whole heart. He was a member of the Rock Springs United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of seventy-one years, Mary Oleta Harper; three brothers, Harold, Billy, and Ira Dean Harper; and one sister, Peggy Jasay.
Survivors include four sons, Bobby Ray Harper and wife Renee of Glendale, Max Harper and wife Glenda of Camden, Mark Harper and wife Dennie of Deer, and Warren Harper and wife Rhonda of Locust Bayou; three daughters, Judy Gibson and husband Sam of Warren, Joyce Lee of Little Rock, and Jenny Stone and husband Matt of Camden; seventeen grandchildren, Kim Glenn, Chris Harper, Lillie Herring, Chad Gibson, Michele Jenkins, Melissa McCready, Melanie Burton, Hugh Harper, Mary Lambert, Matthew Harper, Adam Harper, Kelly Garner, Mason Stone, Hillary Veazey, Daniel Harper, Bill Harper, and Nathan Harper; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
