Willie Lee Woods Martin began her earthly journey March 13, 1948, in Collins, AR. She was born to H.B. Woods and Johnnie Q. Cleary. She was preceded in death by both parents; her son, Kenneth Ray Martin; and a niece, Marcie James.
She was a graduate of Drew High School, Class of 1967. Mrs. Willie was a loving and caring person that had a love for cooking and talking. She never met a stranger and gained many friends with her bold and straight-forward personality and persona. Everybody know that "Will" was gonna tell it like it is. She worked for Burlington Industries for many years, Akin Industries and later retired as a private caregiver. She also loved getting together with friends and having a good time.
Loved ones left to cherish her memories are two sons, Michael L. Martin of Monticello and Eric L. Martin of Little Rock; one daughter, Natalie S. Woods of Monticello; twelve grandchildren and great grandchildren; two nephews; four nieces; her only sister, Bertha Lee Woods Robinson of Chicago, IL; one brother, Ebenezer James, Jr. of Hamburg; two God-daughters, Toccara Veasey Daniels and Tanira Lamb; her only living aunt, Annie Bell Johnson of Little Rock; three ladies that she considered her sisters and best friends, Clementine Russ, Sherry K. Lambert Toney and Shirley Lamb; and many other relatives and friends.
