Carl Pace
August 13, 1936 - December 18, 2020

On December 18, 2020, Carl Eugene Pace age 84 passed away. He was originally from the Greenhill area of Drew County, Arkansas.
Dr. Pace who received his doctorate in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas retired from the Engineer Research and Development Center located in Vicksburg, MS. He specialized in stability analyses of locks and dams located across the United States. As a youth, he loved basketball and track and excelled academically. As an adult, he loved long scenic drives and hiking. He had a passion for reading and for learning.
He is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow Wilson Pace and Blanche Molly Piper Pace, and brother Donald Leo Pace. Survivors include his wife Loretta B. Pace, his daughter Phyllis Jean Thompson (Phillip) and son Michael Eugene Pace (Ramona), his four grandchildren: Diana Jean Daniel, Rachael Lynn Williamson (Wyatt), Laura Elizabeth Pace, Lindsay Caroline Pace, and three great-grandchildren: Logan Elijah Thompson, Titus E. Thompson, and Cadence L. Williamson and sister Sylvia Jane Farrar (Delbert).
A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello, Arkansas. Flowers can be sent to Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home 943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655.
