Max Richard McCabe, age 84 of Auburn, NE, formerly of Monticello, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at his home. He was born March 24, 1936, in Saline, KS to the late William Hobart McCabe and Maude Josephine Wood McCabe.

He was a retired truck driver, a United States Navy Veteran and member of Enon Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two daughters, Gwen and Lisa; two grandsons, Joseph and Chad; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Cox McCabe of Auburn, NE; five children, David Dorsey of Monticello, Debbie Pruitt of Monticello, Deena Rezab of Auburn, NE, Denise Mead of Georgia and Lisa Tripp of Reno, NV; two sisters, Patty Conley and Marilyn Shepherd; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Enon Baptist Church with burial in Enon Cemetery. Covid guidelines will be followed. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
