Lois Slaughter Judkins, 93, passed from this life on July 28, 2010 at her home in Maurepas, Louisiana while surrounded by family. Lois was born January 17, 1917 in Drew County, Arkansas to the late Jim and Myrtle Slaughter.

She lived her life to the fullest and leaves this world with a true example of a Christian life. She was a charter member of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Monticello and joined Monticello First Baptist in 1978. She was a homemaker and retiree of Burlington Mills after twenty five years of service. Lois was full of laughter, smiles, and a giving and mothering spirit that will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Pat Judkins; two sisters, Agnes Hood and Floremae Avery and three brothers, John Slaughter, Joe Lee Slaughter, and Lewis Slaughter.

Survivors include; two daughters, Patsy King of Maurepas, LA, and Mary Harris of Galveston, TX; one brother, Earl Dee Slaughter of Monticello; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and twenty great-great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
