William Kenneth Burton, age 78 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Spring Hill Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock, AR. He was born October 25, 1942, in Monticello, AR to the late William O. Burton and Jewel Jones Burton. He was a railroad worker, Dura-Craft boat salesman, car dealer and owner of Burton Trucking, Inc. Kenneth’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, going to antique car shows, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Brian Burton; and two brothers, Larry and Robert Burton. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathryne Crook Burton of Monticello; one son, Brett Burton and wife Rene McKee Burton of Monticello; one daughter, Samantha Burton Hewitt and husband Jimmy of Monticello; three brothers, Jackie Burton and wife Betty of Lake Village, Randy Burton of Monticello and Ricky Burton and wife Michelle of Monticello; one sister, Linda Burton Carpenter and husband Lloyd of Monticello; five grandchildren, Chelsea Burton French and husband Todd, Scott Allen Hewitt, Devin Burton and wife Ali, Mary Kathryne Hewitt and Kenneth Cole Hewitt all of Monticello; two great grandchildren, Braxton and Holden French; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Roper and Rev. Gary Carter officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery in Drew County, AR. There will be visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
