Ernestine G. Grubbs, 92, of North Chesterfield, VA passed away April 28, 2021. Mrs. Grubbs worked for the Port of Richmond and was retired for thirty years.
Mrs. Grubbs was predeceased by her parents, Coyt Gunter and Eunice Powell Gunter. She was also predeceased by her husband of fifty-six years, Floy R. Grubbs and her son, Robert F. Grubbs.
She is survived by her son, James M. “Mike” Grubbs, her daughter-in-law, Donna G. Grubbs, and grand daughter Shelby Wren Katherine Grubbs, her daughter-in-law, Rainelle W. Grubbs, brother, L. C. Gunter, and his wife Donna. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lola Funderburg, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
Her graveside funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Campground Cemetery, on Thursday, May 6, 2021. The funeral will be officiated by Bro. Mark Estes, her nephew. There will be a light lunch at the cemetery pavilion provided after.
