JoAnne Dannehl, age 62 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was born July 6, 1958, in Monticello, AR to the late Don Samson and Lee Higgins Samson.

She was retired from Stage Department Stores with 15 years of service and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was also an associate with Dallas Fashion and the Art Institute of Dallas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Samson; and a grandson, Dylan Case Dannehl. JoAnn loved hiking, camping, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband, Roy Dannehl, Jr.; her children, Jennifer Kelley of Sheridan, Amy Jones and Trey Dannehl both of Monticello; her sister, Jane Lee; her brother, Bruce Samson of Conway; along with her grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stephen Coburn and Rev. Buddy Lemons officiating. Burial will be in Dannehl Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
