Kathie M. Clement Barnett, age 69 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her home. She was born February 12, 1952, in Monticello, AR to the late Harold “Jack” Clement and Dorris Floyd Clement.
She was employed as a vault teller at Commercial Bank and a Baptist. Kathie enjoyed camping at the lake, watching any sport her grandkids were playing, but most especially baseball. She also enjoyed cooking delicious meals and sweets for her family but, her greatest passion was her family. Her door and her heart were always open to her family and friends. She always said she lived for her family and she truly embodied that. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, James “Jimmy” Clement.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carl Barnett of Monticello; two daughters, Carla Michelle Jarrett (Greg) and Stephany Philley (Tim Anderson) all of Monticello; one sister, Carla Imboden (Eugene) of Monticello; five grandchildren, Krista Stanley (Mark) of Monticello, Kane Philley (Aspen Reynolds) of Little Rock, Hunter Jones (Caitlin Dupwe) of Monticello, Mason Philley (Kaylyn Smith) of Monticello and Jerimiah Philley of Monticello; and four great grandchildren, Emma Stanley, Jaylea Stanley, Tristan Stanley and one on the way all of Monticello.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Gary Carter officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
