Jorene Hoover Ott, age 92 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was born September 12, 1929, in Drew County, AR to the late Roie Joe Hoover and Verna Phillips Hoover. She was the widow of Charles Ott, a retired Registered Nurse and a member of Chickasaw Baptist Church in McGehee, AR. Ott, as she was known by her peers, was a very compassionate and skilled nurse. She lovingly cared for the people of Drew County for many years with a servant’s heart. However, her favorite title was “Aunt Jo”, as she was a beloved aunt to many more than her own nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. Hoover. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Billie Jean Hoover; her nephew, Chuck Hoover and wife Carolyn and her niece, Jana Edwards and husband Dan all of Monticello; Eddie Young, who she thought of as a son and wife Patty of McGehee; and her great nieces and nephews, Michele Roberts and husband David, Joy Watts and husband Matt, Josh Welch and wife Katelan and Brice Hoover and wife Kelsey all of Monticello; and great-great nieces and nephews, Kaleigh Roberts, Patton Roberts, Preston Welch, Josie Welch and Emersyn Raye Hoover all of Monticello. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Campground Cemetery in Drew County, AR with Bro. Chuck Hoover officiating.
