LaJuana Renee Minton was born August 11, 1967, to the late JC Dukes and the late Martricia Minton. She peacefully transitioned to her eternal home on December 26, 2021, in the comfort of her home.
Renee, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was a 1985 graduate of Warren High School. She accepted Christ at a young age and attended New Zion AME Zion Church during her formative years. During her time at New Zion, Renee was a member of the youth choir and Christian Education department. In recent years Renee united with First Baptist Church of Monticello where she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. Richardson.
Renee is best known for infectious, jovial personality. She had a plethora of family and friends who loved and adored her comedic style and humorous anecdotes. But more importantly, her crowning jewel was the unwavering and unconditional love and bond she had with her son, Jonathan (Jay).
Renee was preceded in death by her mother, Martricia Minton, and her father, JC Dukes.
Family left to celebrate Reneeās life include: her lovingly devoted son, Jonathan (Jay) Minton of Monticello, Arkansas, one sister, Sonja Dukes and one niece, Diema Dukes of Las Vegas, Nevada, one nephew, Dominique White of Atlanta, Georgia, one uncle, Demarge Minton, Sr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, four aunts, LaQuita Boykin and Wanda Minton of Augusta, Georgia, Manuline Brown and Gwendolyn Minton of Warren, Arkansas, and a host of loving cousins, extended family and friends.
