Jerry Dewayne Pruitt, age 62 of Star City, formerly of Monticello, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. He was born February 5, 1959, in Rison, AR to the late Floyd Pruitt and Lela Marie Ricks Pruitt. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Pruitt; and a granddaughter, Hattie Grace Davis. He was a retired upholstery shop owner and a member of First Assembly of God Church of Monticello. Jerry loved hunting, fishing, doing artwork, was a huge Arkansas Razorback fan and was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He loved joking around with his family and friends, coin and knife collecting, and riding his grandkids around on the four-wheeler. Jerry was a dedicated father, grandfather and Christian. Survivors include four daughters, Brandy Pruitt of Star City, Megan Pruitt of Georgia, Ashley Pruitt of Monticello and Amanda Beatty of Hot Springs; two sisters, Ruby Howard of Star City and Sheila Pruitt of Ward; twelve grandchildren, Drake Davis, Hunter Ray, Abagail Beatty, Benjamin Beatty, Aubrey Ray, Olivia Davis, Kinsey Rodgers, JJ Kearney, Kyleigh Kearney, Kaycen Burch, Ellie Watson and Emmie Watson; and one great grandchild, Asher Dillion. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the Stephenson-Dearman chapel in Monticello. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
