He was born June 22, 1939, in Epps, LA to the late Buford Ethan Dye and Velma Alice Smith Dye. He was a retired truck driver, member of Second Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran. Winfred was a diehard Razorback fan regardless of the sport, loved going to Branson and boating on the lake. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Finch Dye; a son, Randall Alan Dye; a grandson, James Allen Bodiford; four brothers, James Roderick Dye, Julian Buford Dye, William Carrol Dye and Delbert Wayne Dye; and two sisters, Bertha Lee Dye Reed and Ruth Irene Dye Denton. Survivors include four daughters, Cynthia Ann Dye Forrest and husband Donnie, Shirley Kay Dye, Alice Marie Dye Forrest and husband Michael and Danita Carol Dye Bradford and husband Mitch all of Monticello and Sara Rena Dye Snead and husband Matt of Little Rock; two step daughters, Crystal Pace and Dixie Pace; three sisters, Mary Wallace, Ann Johnson and Jean Carr all of Monticello; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Second Baptist Church in Monticello, AR. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery with military honors following the service.
