Mary Lou Vance Wallack, age 92 of Monticello, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at her home in Monticello. She was born August 18, 1929, in Collins, AR to the late John Davis Vance and Cora Sasser Vance. She was the widow of Nathan Wallack, a retired bookkeeper and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Mary Lou was a member of The Eastern Star and loved writing poetry, doing family genealogy, traveling and collecting things. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Edward Vance and James Silas Vance; four sisters, Kathryn Butcho, Marie Gray, Ruby Ann Marter and Lewayne Hartness; two children, David Allwhite and Wanda Newton; grandchildren, James David Allwhite, Mary Claudette Gilchrist and Kenneth Ballinger; and great grandchildren, James Dylan Allwhite, and twins Jackson David McMickle and Mitchell Wayne McMickle, II. She is survived by her two children, Mary Lee “Lesa” Caine of Monticello and Harry “Eddie” Albright and wife Helen of Newton Falls, OH; seven grandchildren, Teresa Culpepper, Paula Corbitt, Amy Meredith, Carol Ann Martin, Gerald Caine, Mary LuAnne McMickle and Paul James Albright; thirty-one great grandchildren; along with eleven great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Enon Cemetery with Rev. Bud Banks officiating.
