Kim Evat Franklin Burnett
November 18, 1965 - March 19, 2022

Kim Evat Burnett, 56, of Monticello went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2022. She was born on November 18, 1965, to Willie Ed O’Neal and Kathy Walton (Lee Drew).
She was a devoted member of the Kennedy Blvd. Church of Christ in Monticello, Arkansas. Formally married to Thomas Ray Burnett.
She graduated from Monticello High School in 1984 and continued her education to become a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Arts P-4 Early Childhood Education and Masters of Education.
Kim was well known for her love of teaching and helping others. Nothing gave her more satisfaction than seeing her students’ little faces light up with pure joy when they had a “lightbulb moment” while she was teaching. She contributed 22 plus years in the education arena. She continued her career in education by later becoming a Migrant Specialist at Southeast Arkansas Coop.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter Whitney Burnett-Lewis (Rayshon) of Arlington, Texas; and son Ryan Sequinn Franklin of Monticello, Arkansas; She had 6 grandchildren: Treylen Neal, Kyan Franklin Joslynn Samuels, Kali Franklin, Julian Samuels, and Kam Franklin. Four brothers: Don Franklin, Jermaine Walton (Tanika), Terrial O’Neal, Bryon O’Neal, and one sister Stephanie Briggs (Bennie). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and wonderful memories.
