Virgie Mae McCoy Haynes
August 6, 1947 - June 9, 2022

Virgie Mae McCoy Haynes, age 74 of Monticello, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, at The Blossom Health Center in White Hall, AR. She was born August 6, 1947, in Drew County, AR to the late Robert McCoy, Sr. and Gussie Owens McCoy.
She was a retired seamstress, Burlington Industries and Advantages of Monticello employee, and a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Patsy McCoy King, Lucille Prosper and Julia Walker; and four brothers, Robert McCoy, Jr., R.C. McCoy, William McCoy and Earl Lee Stanley.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise Haynes Ambrose of Monticello; a grandchild she loved dearly, Danielle Ambrose of Monticello; one brother, Eddie McCoy of Monticello; eight sisters, Nellie B. McCoy, Artie Lucas, Minnie Cochran, Mattie Johnson, Georgia Fisher and Lorine McCoy all of Monticello, Mary Barnes of Reed and Lois Jackson of Jonesboro; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Laron Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery.
