Billie Harold Jeffers was born on March 24, 1941, in Ashley County, AR to the late Lena and Harold Jeffers, and passed away at The Springs Nursing Home on Monday, March 13, 2023.
He spent his youth in Hamburg and Monticello, Arkansas and in Crescent City, California. In 1960, he graduated from high school in Coleman, Texas and returned to Monticello where he enrolled in college at Arkansas A&M.
Bill enjoyed woodworking and restoring old cars and trucks in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.W. Jeffers; a sister, Sue Stokes; and a nephew, Robert Stokes.
Survivors include his son, Jason Jeffers; his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Byrd Jeffers both of Hampton; brother-in-law Don Byrd and wife Linda; sister-in-law, Linda Jeffers; three nieces and six nephews. His niece Jeri Widdis and her husband Frank were especially close to him during his time in the nursing home.
