Brother Wade Everett was born September 26, 1936, to the late Carrie Hamilton-Everett and Paul Everett, Sr. in Drew County, AR. He departed his earthly existence on March 20, 2023, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He confessed his faith and belief in Jesus Christ at an early age and united with Sixteenth Section Missionary Baptist Church. Wade worked faithfully in his church as a deacon and minister. He worked in the Southeast District Association until his health began to fail. He enjoyed going to church and working in the church. He was a “people” person. He retired from Burlington Industries and loved eating fish and ice cream. Wade was a Mason and member of the Wyoming Lodge #461. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Ann Everett; siblings, Eddie Everett, Paul Everett, Jr. and Verlinda Everett-Campbell; and sister and brothers-in-law, Pearlene Dodds, Juan Simpson and Neander Rowlett. Wade Everett married Sarah I. Dodds-Everett on April 13, 1958, and to this union five children were born. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 64 years, Sarah Everett; three daughters, Marcia Suber (Edward), Marie Jackson (Raymond) all of Monticello, AR and Felicia McDuffie (Danny); one son, Malcolm K. Everett (Lashaunda) all of Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Arthur Everett (Frankie) of Monticello, Early J. (E.J.) Everett, Sr. (Faye) of McGehee, Rev. Brown Lee Everett (Earlene) and Ray Everett (Linda) both of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Earnestine Everett of Pine Bluff, Georgia Everett-Long of Kansas City, KS and Mae Simpson (Tommie) of Monticello; two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Clark-Everett and Ora Dean Rowlett both of Monticello; one brother-in-law, Travis Campbell of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Krystal Baines (Tony), Edward Suber, Jr., Cornelius McCray (Michallie), Cassie McCray and William McDuffie; ten great grandchildren; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Sixteenth Section Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sixteenth Section Cemetery.
