David Shepard, Jr. was born July 28, 1957, in McGehee, Arkansas to the late David Shepard, Sr. & the late Ruby Jean Shepard. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Later, in life, David was united in faith with Kennedy Blvd Church of Christ in Monticello, Arkansas. He departed this life on Saturday 29, 2023 at the family’s home in Monticello, Arkansas. David graduated from McGehee High School with some amazing athletic records in basketball. David was employed at Burlington Industries for 10 years and was employed at International Paper (IP) in Pine Bluff for 12 years. David enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren's sporting and school events and attending church. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, spades, or just relaxing watching western movies and eating some of his favorite foods: chicken and gravy, turkey necks, greens, and yams. David was a hard-working and courageous man who never met a stranger. He always had a kind word and offered a helping hand to many that crossed his path. On January 10, 1986, David Shepard, Jr., and Linda Faye Binns were married in Monticello, Arkansas and to this union, 4 children were born.
