Marcus T. Dixon passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Baptist Health Hospital, in Fort Smith, AR. He was born in McGehee, AR, on September 9, 1982--the son of Herbert & Rosilyn (Dixon) Price. Marcus was funny, smart, and kind. He loved to laugh, and he loved his family. He was a free spirit. He liked to roam- didn’t “let much grass grow under his feet”. He would jump on a Greyhound bus to nowhere and make a life wherever he landed. He made friends everywhere he went; he liked whoever liked him. He might have been physically absent from his family a lot, but he called in as often as he could - never forgot a holiday or special occasion. He would even borrow a cell phone if he didn’t have one of his own. He tried to treat others the way he wanted to be treated. He had trials; he fell down like the rest of us, but he always got up and tried to find his way back. We’re not sure when he was a praying man, but he definitely had a multitude of family members and friends who consistently kept him lifted up in prayer. Marcus was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Norman & Bernice Moore, his maternal grandparents, Alvin & Gladys Dixon, paternal grandparents, Ozell Price, Sr., & Robbie Price, his aunt, Cheryl Nelson, and uncle, Jimmy Price. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Kendric Robinson, Sr. (TeKeila), of Dermott, a nephew, Kendric, Jr. of Portland, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, & friends.
