Erma Sue Lacy Judkins, age 89 of Monticello, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at her home. She was born March 8, 1934, in Wilmar Arkansas to the late Rev. W.J. Lacy and Lula Mae Piper Lacy. She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church of Monticello, a retired secretary/bookkeeper for many years for Dr. Price and Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home, where she was also a licensed insurance agent. Erma Sue enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting and needlework. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Judkins; two sisters, Bettie Jo Garganeous and Joyce Ann Dickens; and four nephews; Glen Garganeous, Michael Garganeous, Randall Garganeous and Wade Curtis. She is survived by two nieces, Sheila Curtis and Debbie Kinzalow;two nephews, Jerry Garganeous and Jimmy Garganeous; brothers-in-law, Johnny and Terry Judkins both of Monticello and Harold Judkins of Bastrop, LA; a sister-in-law, Betty Marshall of Crossett; a dear friend, Ivory Ollison; along with several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Brother Bobby Spencer and Brother Mike Glover officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. before the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. You can sign Sue’s guestbook page on this website.
