Harrell B. Rhodes, Sr., age 94 of Wilmar, AR, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. He was born January 19, 1929, in Drew County, AR to the late Leroy Rhodes and Mary Vesta Carey Rhodes.
He was retired from the United States Air Force, VA and Burlington Industries. Harrell was a Christian and loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Harrell Rhodes, Jr.; one brother; two sisters; and his wife, JoAnn Rhodes.
He is survived by a son, Ricky Rhodes and wife Helen of Wilmar; three grandchildren, Tanya, Jonathan and Tiffany; daughter-in-law, Gina Rhodes of Monticello; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Elvin McDill officiating. There will be a visitation Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sixteenth Section Cemetery with military honors.
