William "Bill" Burl Lemley, age 80, of Monticello, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at his daughter's home in Troy, Michigan. He was born September 19, 1943, in Kelso, Arkansas to the late W.M. Lemley and Allie Orell Gilliam Lemley. William was a retired Army Veteran who served in both the Vietnam and Korean wars. After retiring from the military, William went on to work for the U.S. Post Office until he had put in his years of service and retired from there as well. After retirement from the Post Office and the Army, he went on to dedicate his time to managing an apartment complex in Monticello. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Lemley; sisters, Mary Curtis, Betty Sloan, and Clara Nelson; brother, Junior Lemley; and grandson, Christopher DelPapa. William is survived by his daughter, Donna Brey; sons, David Lemley, Billy Lemley, and Chris Lemley; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the United Pentecostal Church, 1115 Hwy 278 West, in Monticello, Arkansas. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Rodney Thompson will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Mt. Tabor, Arkansas. You can sign William's guestbook here on his page.
