Vaughn Ray Causey, age 59 of Monticello, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, in Monticello, AR. He was born August 18, 1964, in Monticello, AR to the late Macon Arnett Causey and Frances Delois Young Causey. He was a retired Certified Pipeline Inspector with numerous certifications and a Methodist. Vaughn was a talker with a sharp sense of humor that loved telling tall tales. He loved his work, his family and was an animal lover. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Causey Hopkins; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Brown and Larry Hopkins; and a nephew, Anthony Brown. He is survived by his siblings, Brenda Causey Brown of Monticello, Sherrill Causey Scroggins and husband Bill of Lacey, Michael L. Causey and wife Brenda of Richland, MO, Connie Ollie and husband Tom of Pulaski, TN and Mark E. Causey and wife Tina of Goodman, MO; his significant other, Vickie Crass of Monticello; a sister by choice, Gloria Lewis Sulvetta of Bala Cynwyd, PA; along with a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home with Rev. Wayman Mann and Sister Mary Jones officiating. There will be a visitation Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lacey Cemetery. You can sign Vaughn’s guestbook on this website.
