He was a school teacher and coach and was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church. Werb was well known throughout the years for coaching and umpiring in Southeast Arkansas. Besides coaching, some of Werb’s favorite times were spent with his wife of 16 years, children, and his four grandchildren. He loved going on camping trips and vacations with his family. He would travel across the state to watch his grandchildren compete in sports and gymnastics competitions. His grandchildren were the center of his life. Werb was also a volunteer firefighter for Wilmar and a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and the Arkansas Officiating Association.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Zell Werb.
