Gean Travis Harris, age 68 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born July 2, 1955, in Monticello, AR to the late Travis Newton Harris and Eloise Grace Boyd Harris. He was a retired Burlington Industries employee and was of the Baptist faith. Gean liked to hunt and fish, was an avid Razorback fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was also a Little League baseball coach for many years which he enjoyed very much. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a great-niece, Breanna Grace Lynn; and nephews, William Lynn and Shannon Dale Harris. He is survived by his siblings, Billy Harris and wife Mary of the Rock Springs community, Roger Harris and wife Margaret of Monticello, and Belinda Church of Hamburg; a lifelong friend, Jimmy Hales of Monticello; one nephew and four nieces. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. J.W. Dobbins officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday morning preceding the funeral service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. You can sign Gean’s guestbook registry on this page.
