Samuel O'Neil Walton
August 21, 1976 - October 13, 2024

Samuel O’Neil Walton left earth on October 13, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center (Drew County) at 7:37 a.m. headed for glory. He was born August 21, 1976, to the late Samuel Walton and Bennie Clara Jenkins Walton.
Samuel received his education from the Monticello Public Schools where he graduated in 1994. While attending school, he played baseball, football and basketball. He also played in the band from the 8th grade until he graduated. He was the best tuba player they had. He received a scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
On his birthday, August 21, 2022, he gave his life to Christ under the leadership of Pastor Christopher Goodman. He was a faithful member where he sang in the Choir, and he was a member of the Sons of Allen. He attended services every Sunday until his health began to fail. Samuel loved him some Arkansas Razorbacks and also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and his fiancé, Catherine McCord.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Doris Griggs; his maternal grandparents, Bennie and Johnnie Mae Jenkins; a daughter, Samantha Lajada Walton; and a step-father, Greg Reid.
Samuel leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Bennie Clara Jenkins Walton; his children, Krissy L. Swift and Samuel L. Walton of Monticello, AR, Alize D. Butler of Dallas, TX, Cameron W.J. Walton of McGehee, AR, Samia’ A. Moore of Little Rock, AR, Bennie J. Walton of Clarksville, AR, Sha’kira E. Walton, Cynthia L. Walton and Elijah O. Walton of Monticello, AR; a sister, Markeisha J. Walton of Monticello, AR; a special niece, MyKeshia Allen of Monticello, AR; his bonus children, Dillion A. and Isaac England of Monticello, AR, Gray B. Williams of Clinton, AR, and Desirae R. Brooks of Manilla, AR; his brothers he was raised with, Terrance Carter, Edward and Anthony Gibbs, Brad Ferrell, Derrick Johnson, Robert Bassett, Jr. and Antonio Clifton; sisters, Toni Jackson and Vickey Estes; a special aunt, Helen Mixon of Dallas, TX; along with numerous uncles, aunties, cousins and friends that loved him very much.
